I have an i5 2500k with HD 6990 on 16gb of RAM xmp 1600 mhz. I find this obsolete in battlefield 4. I play on 30 to 53 fps. I would like to know what build should I use if I want to play BF4 ultra settings 1080p and resolution scaling 150% with fps above 70. Thank you.

This shows you what you need. I would probably get a GTX 760 in dual SLI. That should get you about 65 FPS min. for about $500.

Your CPU is probably near its limit too. As you can see from 2/3rds of the way down, the 2500 will give you about 62min, 86 ave.

So the GTX 760's will compliment the 2500K.

If you wanted to take it to the next level, you'd need a 4770K with a new motherboard and a couple GTX 780's in SLI for 80 min.

Well my 7970 with a 30% performance boost OC handles it at 60 FPS in 1080p. So I would suppose a 290X OC would do the job. Wait for non-reference coolers to come out later this month though...
