Battlefield 4 Lag?

When I play battlefield 4, I get terrible FPS lag, and I don't know why. I just installed it again last night after it being uninstalled for a little while. Previously, I could play on High settings with no problem. Now I can't even play on low settings smoothly.

If you Google 'bf4 lag' you'll see hundreds of other people with the same problem.

Changed server? settings? game scenes?

Got patchy internet? PC overheating? Low spec PC?

I tried different servers, and changed the settings. My internet is fine and my pc isn't overheating. As soon as I hop into game it just decides to be laggy fps wise.
i7-3630QM @ 2.40GHz
8GB RAM
750m GPU
Before I tried playing today, I've had no problem with lag like this.

What cpu temps you running - idle, gaming?

It says I can run it. And to be honest, I have never checked my CPU temp on my laptop, ever

Laptops get hot really easily. Especially if you don't clean them out periodically. And if you don't use a laptop cooler.

So remove the covers and blow the dust out of the case with compressed air. See if that helps.

Hm. Well every game but battlefield 4 work fine. So I don't think dust is the problem, but there still is a slight chance that it is. However, I feel like it's not. I can try later

My lag is a CONSTANT 4-12 FPS. And I literally mean constant, nothing more, nothing less. 4-12fps making it unplayable for me

Stop calling it a lag. Its not. Its just low fps. If your laptop is running cool then that's the best it can do. Play on minimum settings.

I fixed the problem. it was the NVIDIA drivers. I just installed the latest Lenovo drivers(since I have a lenovo laptop) and it runs a lot better now.

Ye, thanks though. I dunno, I just guess the current most up-to-date NVIDIA Driver is bad for Battlefield 4? At least for my system. But not only did downloading the Lenovo drivers get me back to normal fps, it's even higher fps than before. Not only in battlefield, but also in CSGO my fps is a bit higher. I assume it would be higher for other games, too.
