Battlefield 4 problem

Hi i just got a new fx 8350 in my new pc its working fine until i play battlefield 4. As soon as i spawn in my pc shuts off. Im wondering if theres anything i need to change because of the new cpu. Plz halp its like my fav game

I just upgraded my cpu. How do you update the BIOS

Yea maybe the new CPU is not properly seated with good thermal paste application. As Freakboi_pa said, what are the temps of your CPU when running BF4?

I literally just put it in started it and clicked bf its using the stock cooler with paste already applied do i need to do anything in the BIOS?

Look at your motherboard manufacturer website for your specific model. See if there is an available BIOS update in the downloads section.

You should also check the CPU for bent pins. Also, are you attempting to overclock the CPU?

Theres nothing wrong with the cpu or the heatsink its not getting hot ive played bf before on a different cpu but when i started with this cpu my pc shuts off

What make/model of motherboard are you using? Did you check for a BIOS update?

The mobo is an Asus M5a78l-mlx plus and i dont know how to to update the bios

Go the manuals link and get the one for your preferred language. The instructions are there. It really isn't hard.

Did you verify no bent pins? If so, you may need to reset your bios to its default state. Did you do that after installing the new cpu?

The pins arent bent how do u reset bios

Did you get the motherboard manual as COLGeek recomended? It should tell you to reset BIOS.

Ive played cod ghost for around an hour and it hasnt shut off but it still does it for battlefield as soon as i start. Plus when it shuts down on bf it restarts over and over until i shut it down manually

Ive reinstalled the game and reset my BIOS and made sure nothin was overheating it still just shuts my pc down

If this only happens when playing BF4 and at no other time, this would likely be a problem with BF4 itself. Is the game fully patched and up to date?
