Battlefield Bad Company 2 complete crashing on minimize or quit

Hey,

I'm having some massive difficulties with BFBC2. I'm skyping with two other friends and we casually game, however whenever I go to minimize the game whether it's by alt+tab or Ctrl+alt+delete the game would sometimes completely freeze, nothing showing, nothing working, no keyboard or mouse input BUT I remain on Skype with two of my friends talking to them?

I tried using the 'Quit' button too but that also sometimes causes me to crash completely...

I have to hard reset with the reset switch and restart my whole computer and of course terminating the call (My friends don't have good internet so they can't host calls that well)

This is only happening to me on BFBC2. Battlefield 3 seems to be perfectly fine

Any suggestions or solutions?

Have you tried running the game in windowed mode/borderless windowed mode?

Just tried running it in windowed mode... nope.. still crashed, unable to do any commands but remain on skype with my friends...
