bcedit not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

I recently read up on Turning HPET on or off to help performance in games while using SLI'ed graphcs cards. I would like to turn it on or off to see if it helps or does'nt however when I type in bcedit and my command I get the phrase

"bcedit not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file"

I am running my CMD in administrator mode as well and it seems like my CMD is not recognizing that bcedit even exists although it does.

When I checked path it does show C:\Windows\System32 as well as several other paths.

Please help me figure this out.

The command is "bcdedit".

Use this command with great care or you may end up with an unbootable computer.
