My PC currently has bottlenecking problems and I was wondering if configuring the BCLK Frequency would help
My Cpu is a i7-4790 non K, and I have a Gigabyte GTX 1080, 24GB DDR3 Ram, 650 w Plus gold Motherboard ASUS Q87M-E

In the bios I have the settings for BCLK frequency auto,100:100, and 100:130, my RAM is set to 1600MHZ, I'm wondering what option I can do and what other things I can do to help the bottleneck as unfortunately
I have a lga 1150 motherboard and I dont believe there are any other good priced cpus and I would have to upgrade my ram, cpu and motherboard to stop the bottleneck.

Solution
BCLK overclocking is not a very reliable or stable overclocking method, especially if your only options are 100 and 130. Sometimes you'll see bclk of like 102-105 to squeeze the last little bit out of an overclock. BCLK essentially overclocks EVERYTHING, (BCLK = "Base Clock"), so is usually not very stable especially for high clocks.

There is no way to "unbottleneck" that cpu with that gpu. Even if you had a K processor, normal overclocking would help reduce the bottleneck by a bit, but certainly not eliminate it.

Having said all that, don't worry too much about it. You're still getting a good experience with that 1080, so time to start saving up for a new rig.

Ok thanks for the help, would you happen to know how to overclock my non k cpu, as I have no clue how to do this, I think it would help a little bit, and that can definitely make a decent change I feel like.
