I'm wondering what would be the best fan setup (I would be using be quiet! SilentWings 3 PWM 140 mm fans) for this case. According to the official specs, it supports 2 fans on the front, 3 on top, 1 on the bottom and 1 in the PSU shroud, although the built-in fan controller only supports up to 6 fans. I don't plan on using water cooling, but I do want to use the large be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 CPU cooler.

Solution
The cpu cooler is best left connected to cpu cooler header in mobo for auto speed control as the temp demands.
As for the case, 2 front intake, 1 rear exhaust and 1 top exhaust is the standard setup. I always try to have negative air pressure for circulating more of the cooler ambient air outside.
Depending upon ur circumstance, u can add 1 more bottom intake and 1 top exhaust.

Hey, thanks for the answer and sorry for replying so late. I like your fan setup idea but I still have one question, will I benefit from putting an extra 7th fan in the PSU shroud, since this case supports it?

The bottom fan is not required in most of the cases. Try with the 2 front, 1 top and 1 rear first and then you can decide about adding more.
Usually, the custom gpu(non blower style) cards take the air from the front of the fans and goes out to the side. So that extra airflow from the bottom for gpu intake can be beneficial.
U can always try a 1 front and 1 bottom intake combo to see which works best and revert back. But the problem is obstructing airflow with front intake and bottom intake. So make sure to mount the front fan at the top most slot.
