The lighting system in those fan frames is the ARGB system that uses a connector with 3 holes to mate with a mobo header with 3 pins - looks like it had 4 pins but one is missing. To do that you NEED such a header on your mobo. So, which mobo - maker and exact model - do you have?

Aura Sync is the software tool that ASUS provides for use with lighting headers on their mobos. It can be used with either type of lighting header. So it is the header hardware you must match, not the name of the software tool.
