I am about to put my new gaming system together. All components bought with the exception of the case fans. I decided to go with the be quiet silent wings 3 since I am using the Dark Rock Pro 3 and that is also using silent wings 3. My case is a Corsair 300c and I am planning to install 2 x 140 mm fans in the front and 1 x 120 mm fan in the back. the top of the case i will leave without fans for the beginning (only to add something if needed down the road).
I am currently travelling in Germany where it is easy to pick up those fans in any electronic store. My big questions: should I go with the PWM versions or the standard versions? what is the pro and con of PWM fans. I would like my system to take care off fan speeds automatically. Only to change settings if needed.
Oh, my system is a i7-8700k on a MSI Z370 Gaming Carbon Pro. I am only planning moderate overclocking on the CPU.
