Beastly or sli?

Hey everybody, I was just putting together a list of parts for my build and was wondering what would be better, to get a singular card like the r9 280x or sli two cards together such as a GeForce GTX 760 it would come to about the same amount. I also don't know if everything i want for my pc will fit in with two cards, i also would like to include a soundcard and Avier media capture card.

Well the GTX 760 has 2gb's of Vram. Which just isn't enough for even 1080p gaming.
So in my opinion (even though SLI 760's compute outperform a 280x) The 280x is the better deal with 3gb's of RAM.

However if you can stretch that little bit more go for the GTX 970 or r9 290, They both have 4gb's (3.5gb's+0.5 is good enough as well) and both will MAX games at 1080p easily.
The 280x will Max some games but even it begins to struggle.

In doubt, single card solution should be preferred.
