Beat em up/HacknSlash games?

Are there any games of the Beat em up or HacknSlash genre, where you fight against an extremely large number of enemies at once, but they're kinda underpowered? Something like Dead Rising, I suppose. I just want something fun to do. Open world games preferred. Any suggestions?

Any of the diablo games are great for that, takes time to get the gear for it but it is satisfying once there

DarkSiders series is a fun hack and slash game with a bit of rpg thrown in as you level up and combine weapons.
