Beats Audio (tm) -- integrated studio quality sound

Hello,
I can't figure out why HP offers the "Beats Audio (tm) -- integrated studio quality sound card" and no other option. This was not the case in the past when you could opt for the "Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium sound card", which was supposed to be top of the line.
Sound quality is a big consideration for me and I can't find any review regarding this card.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

It's relatively good for a built in audio card, realistically probably on par with the Creative from what I can tell. The on-board software may or may not do what you want though:

"The BEATS software by default just turns down the treble and turns up the bass, with the BEATS software off it cranks the treble and turns down the bass."
