So this is my first time building a pc. I have been on almost every websites that i know(Reddit, Youtube, Game-Debate and this is last website) to help me build a really really good pc but am having problem with deciding what build should i go for. I got 2 cpu on my list right now which are i5-8400 and Ryzen 5 1600/x. I am having this kind of problem where people commenting like "i5-8400 is better for gaming", "Consider buying 1600x as it will last till 2020" or "Save up a little more for i7-8700k". I'm sorry but I'm really really can only afford those two cpus. For motherboard, I will be pairing i5 with z370 gaming plus and rog strix b350-f for 1600x. This build is for gaming and rendering/editing stuff on Adobe products. As for other compenent, it will be :

RAM : Kingston Hyperx Fury 16GB (2x8GB) 3200mhz
PSU : Cooler Master CM Vanguard Full Modular V650 80 Plus Gold
SSD : Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
GPU : Palit/MSI Geforce GTX 1060 6gb
COOLER : Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 Liquid Cooler / Hydro H100i v2 (If the cm cooler can't properly oc the ryzen)
Case : Corsair Carbide SPEC-05

For the budget (just the rig) would be 1350-1380$ if needed. I will be playing on 1080p monitor with 75hz. Oh yeah, I will be listening to spotify while gaming and I hope that it will not massively drop the fps (It's okay for 2-3 fps). I hope this build can still playing future game. I really really need help from you guys as this will be my first time burning so much money (RM5500) in my country.

I am sorry for bad writing and do excuse my grammar. 😀

In that price range, i would suggest the R5-2600 or for a little more the R5 2600x. The R5-2600 is a 3.4 GHz 6 core processor (3.9 GHz turbo boost). Plus the processor in unlocked so you can overclock it. It is a second generation Ryzen CPU and is essentially the replacement for the R5-1600.

The R5-2600x is the same except it is 3.6 GHz / 4.2 GHz turbo boost (about $25 more).

Your two choices are perfect and choose the one you choose you will be right. Dont worry.
If you choose Intel i5-8400 you dont need memmory above 2666 nor liquid cooler.
In gaming intel is a few better and for rendering 1600 is.
Of course 2600/2600x is a few better. In gaming equal i5-8400 and better in render. But is more expansive.
You dont need i7-8700k.
Go ahead and enjoy your Rig!
