I've been out of the PC hardware loop for a few years now. I only pay attention when it's time for me to upgrade, and since I always go for the best in my own builds it's always been simple. However my sister has asked for help building a PC for my nephew. I'm not sure exactley what games he plays, I know fortnight is one of them, Only info I've gotten from them is hes looking to play 120hz or possibly 240hz 1080p. She told me they would spend about 900usd for PC, and 200-300 for monitor. I started going through PC Part picker and there are so many choices. Since I don't have too much time to research hours and hours of reviews, and videos between now and Christmas (There going to give him money to build it, so I dont need to build it before christmas just a build list for price) Id appreciate any advice or example builds you could share.

Solution
Assuming they already have a copy of Windows 10 that can be moved to this build, and if they HAVE a copy of Windows 10 on an existing machine they don't intend to continue to use, then it CAN be moved to this build, this would be a pretty smart option.

I personally much prefer the monitor that @Darkbreeze recommended as I find it more stylish. Although the one I recommended includes G-Sync. I'll let you decide whether this is important for you or not.

Thanks for the replies. Same hardware and price and I was coming up with. I told her it would be cheaper when I assumed 1080p 60fps. They just told me he was hoping for 120hz, and as usual I forgot a copy of windows 10. They don't have another copy they can move.
