Beep Sound coming from speakers

Hey guys, sry if this is a dumb question but i am a bit worried here.

First of all i have an ASUS P6X58D Premium motherboard and three days ago updated to 24GB of Ram.

Suddenly while i was relaxing on my pc a few hours ago, a beeping sound that lasted for about 1-2 seconds started coming from the speakers. I instantly got worried as this is the first time it happened. I looked up google for "beeb sound", and i found out that this is some form of coding representing errors....but these sounds should not come from the motherboard instead of the speakers????

Forgive me if this looks a bit stupid, but i am worried. Given the sound comes from the speakers=no hardware prob?

The BIOS beep codes which alert you to hardware issues only occur during the initial boot period during the POST (Power On Self Test) and can therefore only come from the little internal speaker on the motherboard (since the multimedia speakers cannot produce any sound until Windows has loaded). Your system will never generate BIOS beep codes when Windows is running.

My guess is either your speakers or the sound card may be faulty.

are you running any asus software that monitors the fan speed or temperatures?

could be coming from that

I used to have a toshiba and did some things like that in the middle of songs, i paid it no attention, as it was not affecting my computer in any way. Is the glitch killing your cpu's performance? That glitch even happened 1 on my new 4gb i3 core processor asus computer. As phil22 said, maybe your sound card or speakers got a glitch in the factory, whatever the situation call Asus and tell them about he problem and if the warranty with Asus is still active, maybe you could send it to them and they could fix the hardware problem for you.

I think it's an error or glitch in either the drivers or the hardware, but whatever the circumstances, I'd say you'd better get that thing checked out by Asus or a trusted expert.

DUDE, YOU JUST SOLVED AN ISSUE THAT WAS BURNING MY BRAIN FOR THE LAST 6 MONTHS, IT WAS THE GODDAMN ASUS AL SUITE THE ONE MAKING THE BEEPS, I JUST MADE THIS ACCOUNT TO TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE A FOOOKING LEGEND MATE. 😍
