Beeping sound from computer at startt of bootup

i am getting a beeping sound coming from my laptop at the start of bootup, its a dell inspiron 1720 and the os is windows 7.

how many beeps are you talking about and does it boot up ok

Yep, get rid of that email ASAP. You can edit existing posts with the first two of the three buttons in the bottom right of each one.

Ditto above. If it then boots OK, that's fine.
