Beeping sound of ups

My ups makes beep sound when i switch on. And while pressing the power button nothing happens, it keeps on continuous beeping. How can solve the problem?

what make and model of UPS your using, what do you have connected to it, and is the unit displaying any LCD errors? or what type of beeping (pattern) is it issuing to you ? have you read the manual about error codes/beeps?

So many questions needing answers before a diagnostics can be given.

Its model is EMERGE 500VA SPECIAL. 0.6 POWERFACTOR if that helps. Actually no load is connected to it right now (Happens the same on load). If plugged it in and switch on it makes long beeps (like nonstop) and stops when i cut the power off.
