Hi. I'm a beginner builder and I'm looking at building my very first rig. I'm on a tight budget but have found some parts that have caught my attention. I've read articles and reviews of these particular components and it's a 50/50 split with good and bad. So this leaves me in a bit of a pickle.
I intend to use as follows : Intel i5-4690k processor
Msi z87 mpower sp motherboard.
Msi twin frozr gtx750ti 2gb graphics
750w psu
8gb corsair vengeance ram 1600mhz.

I've already bought the mobo and awaiting to buy the other parts. Any thoughts on this build please?????

Hi barel. I will be moderately gaming on such games as armour 2&3,battlefield 4 &hard line and video editing. The size of monitor I'm looking for is about 24"-26" utilising hdmi. I'm looking to spend approx £450-550 on this build but am just unsure on a few things as this is my first build and any help is greatly appreciated

Is the monitor included in the budget? Do you need an OS in that budget? Is this build primarily for gaming?

Your build confuses me lol. You want an i5 but you only want a GTX 750 Ti. If you don't plan on upgrading your GPU for a while, you can save money and buy a much cheaper CPU. You also don't need a 750W PSU, probably even a 300W PSU would be fine with the GTX 750 Ti.

If you do plan on upgrading your GPU to one day handle something like 4K gaming, then just get the i7. I mean, if you're going to be spending $1000+ on GPUs, might as well spend $100 more for an i7 right? Plus it'll be faster for every day things as well.

If you're aiming for something in the middle, like gaming at 1080p @ 60fps, then get a GTX 760 or wait for the 960 to come out.
