First time builder (very excited!!), trying to stay under $500. Is this a good one? Would like the option to upgrade down the road. I’m reusing a case and hard drive (seagate barracuda 500 GB 7200 RPM)

Vapour, I have seen the 1060 picked over 1050 Ti a lot. Is the difference that big? I am not planning on doing heavy duty gaming, no VR.

The 6gb variant is worth it but the 3gb really isn't.

Check the FPS diff and decide if it is worth it. The budget just doesn't allow 1060 6gb, which is ideal.

Here is a good comparison of the GTX 1050 ti & GTX 1060 3gb with some newer games.

While the 1060 3gb does perform better it cost a bit more then the 1050 ti and the games tested were on max settings so the few that ran under 60 FPS could have the settings adjusted (max down to high/med) to meet 60 FPS (if were talking 1080P/60 monitor).
