It looks decently similar to the FDG30 Mako Shark by FlyDragon Drone Tech from 4 years ago, but with less efficient, stubbier wings. This particular drone is meant for long duration aerial mapping and can fly for 6 hours.

So when you say

Many of the components had to be modeled before they could be printed, as this design wasn't based on an existing plane.

I say that's extremely doubtful.
