Hey guys, I bought a G4560 and ASUS B150M-C D3 from a online store and asked if they would update the BIOS so the CPU would work. They said yes, but I'm not sure if they did, because handling and shipping was extremely fast.

I just setup the PC and it won't power on. No signal of life (fans won't move at all, no lights etc., as if there was no PSU at all).

However, RAM, PSU, HDD and Cables are fine (I tested the ones from my main PC, which I'm using right now.

I'd like to know it this behaviour is compatible with the BIOS not being updated for this CPU (so I can rule out faulty hardware at first). Otherwise, if the PC should at least power on and not boot, then I'd known some part is broken...
Thanks!

Solution
The PC would power on just not boot if that were your issue. Your problem lies elsewhere.

Breadboard it. Pull the board from the case, and do CPU, memory, PSU only and see what happens.

So it was supposed to turn on (lights on, spin the fans etc) but not boot/post even if the BIOS is not updated for the used CPU?
