[SOLVED] Believe motherboard Ethernet port got fried by lighting storm

So house got hit my lightning and i believe it fried my motherboard Ethernet port. WIFI works and everything else that was plugged into that router works too. Question is if i get a replacement for that MOB which is exactly the same do i really have to do much besides plug every component in and download most up to date bios?

I had exactly this happen a couple weeks ago.
Lightning, fried the motherboard ethernet port. And a few other things around the house.
Printer ethernet port, HDMI on the AV receiver, etc...

A $10 PCIe adapter....works just fine.

was it just plug in to pcie and windows auto downloaded drivers? or did you have to manually download them?

I think, just plugged it in and it worked.
