I bought a Belkin N F5D8053 because it was listed on a site of wireless USB adapters that work on linux. Turns out, the one I bought was version 6, not version 3 like the one listed as compatible. I can run the driver setup CD, but it doesn't recognize the adapter as being plugged in and therefore can't get ahead in the setup and install the drivers. Anybody know a way to get this to work? Or will I have to return it? <Ugh 😛
If it helps I'm trying to run it on Linux Mint 15, 64 bit. I have installed the Belkin on windows 7 and it works fine on there.
Thanks!

I'm now writing on my linux OS ONLINE with my Belkin wireless usb!
I figured out how to get it to work! 😀
All I needed to do was open the windows wireless drivers in administration, then select the inf. file from the driver CD. I'm so happy. Whoo!
