I own a Belkin n750 db wireless router which i bought about 2 months ago.Its showing red light since i configured it as I use a PPPOE connection though i still can access the Internet but with frequent packet loss and very low speed.I had contacted my ISP but they tell its only belkin routers that are facing this issue.I am very confused and have tried every possible way to make the light blue. I feel like I wasted money.I owned belkin n150 router before this and didnt face any issues.Any help will be appriciated.I live in India.

Thanks

What are your speeds like hard-wired to your modem from your ISP? The router manual indicated a solid amber light as "connection not created".

Is the ping/speed slowdowns you are currently noticing over hardwired or wireless connection?

Yes they are hardwired into a common modem which is at terrace up on my building. As i said,It indicates a solid amber light as connection not created but I still can access the internet but with frequent packet drops and lag.It even gets disconnected sometimes until I restart and then I can access the internet.

Sorry, I was just confirming the red light you were referring to was the amber light I was referring to.

I agree it is odd to have a working connection and that light displayed, but not sure it would cause the issues you are experiencing.

Just for a matter of proving it out, have you tried to see the stability of the connection directly to the modem (if possible) from your ISP since they are saying it isn't there issue?

If you have, have you tested if effecting multiple devices? Could be a background program causing it (torrenting/filesharing/etc.)

If it is effecting all devices and only when using router I would probably try a factory reset first and go from there rather then fiddling with the settings one by one.

Also I believe this is the manual in case you don't have it:
