Belkin Wireless Adapter Problems...

so i have a belkin wireless adapter,(i dont think listing the model is neccesary), and it has worked fine for 4 months. Short story - i unplugged my adapter, plugged in a different one to see if it works, and windows didnt recognize it. i then plugged mine back in and ever since i have been experiencing slow internet connection, Steam, Chrome, and Skype not connecting. Im 99% sure this is a software issue. All help is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

Uninstall, then reinstall the driver for the adapter.
