Hi I know about this monitor only supporting 144Hz through DVI and Display Port. Is it possible to get an adapter (display port to hdmi) and would that work. I was wondering as the monitor can’t output 144hz through its HDMI port but with the adapter will it work? (Will use DP cable and plug that into HDMI adapter)

as stated there it will. quote:
You can also use a simple (Single-Link) DVI to HDMI passive adapter. For reasons too complicated to explain here, this does work for high refresh rates as long as it is used for a DVI to HDMI

Dvi passive adapters do work as in only giving you a picture. Over 60Hz, yea good luck with that. The Hdmi port on the monitor in question is limited to 60Hz - a manufacturer choice to limit.

Glenwing has it correct.

That is correct, the adapter is fully capable, but for the system to work all of the requirements must be met. The monitor requirements fail in this case as the XL2411 does not support high refresh rates over HDMI.
