"Bear in mind we don’t expose, but have built in scaleability for the upcoming 1-2 years. That will be available as hardware catches up. So when I say maxed, its maxed for now."

Also to other talking about the Beta, if the MP Beta was DX9, then how can that be anywhere near 'maxed out', it seems only the single player beta is DX10.

As for the demos we've seen sofar, most have been on projectors at 720P which is 1280x720/1366x768, some have been on monitors at unknown resolutions, but most of the E3 and such footage has been from 720P gameplay. Mostly we see HD trailer, but not HD gameplay, look at the HUDs and particles, and that doesn't look like HD, also look at the size of the artifacts and tears and especially the aliasing on angles, that's not hi resolution gameplay. The few times I've seen high resolution live action was with things ike the sandbox demo and it stuttered like a stepchild.

I'm not saying what is will and won't run fluidly on, but it's guaranteed that nothing currently available can truly max out this game, and I doubt that a single GF8800GTS or HD2900XT will give you fluid gaming with the highest available settings and highest available resolutions 1920x1200+, however a clluster of them 2-3-4 might be able to at what's currently exposed to users.

We'll see in november. But I really think your wrong, unless utterly optimize.

To the owner of 8800GTX card, let us know at what setting you run Crysis when it comes out. Surely not 1920x1200 with setting maxed out for sure :pfff:

Remember people its just a beta and beta's are never as good as the final product. Knowing this I restrain myself from even looking at Crysis beta because I know it might disapoint me, I'll wait to see the final version.

like i have stated a billion times;crysis_mp beta is capped at medium settings. you CAN change the resolution but the the video options such as "eye candy"(high or even ultra high settings). only those that are in the developing team have the access to such settings. Crysis IS playable on current high end cards but with low fps. remeber when F.E.A.R 1st came out?? yeah welll.. enuff said

Well if it werent for an NDA, I'd post screenshots of the game on Medium(with my 7900) and also on Medium but some settings on High on my 2900, but i tell you Medium is not the limit in the game. and when changes are made to the settings it really does affect the look of the game. So i am sorry you are misinformed or just blind.

Can you tell us what setting you're able to use with your HD2900? Just to get a glimpse of what to expect.

running a e4300@ 3420mghz and a 8800gts 320. crysis mp beta 3 runs around 30 fps on "high" setting with no aa on(afx16 tho) @ 1680x1050(i like to run at native resolution only on my 22").the game looks amazing but i cant do 30fps, such low fps is due to the 320mb.on medium settings with some on high(cant remember which ones) i get roughly 50-60+. still on medium settings it looks AMAZING and the loading time is fairly quick compare to bf2. i am running my 8800gts @ 667/1051. (sorry for grammar and such for i just took a couple of roxy's 15mg for my F'd up back)

It's ok man, I'm on Vicodin as well, I know where you're comin' from...but instead of a messed up back I got serious mouth pains. that was not fun combined with the 50 hour work week i just had...a bit off topic, but eh...

More on topic though. I think people are making the BETA out to be more than it is. I wouldn't take any of it to seriously. I'd wait for an open Demo to really conclude anything, and that's coming out the 26th of this month. So we'll see. ;) But being beta and all, i woulnd't have hopes high or anything, and just enjoy it while you can until the demo or retail version comes out.

It'll be nice to see how the Crytek engine will use more cores though, some how I feel quite compelled to see how Intel's Skulltrail will perform on Crysis.

Well it'll be interesting to see how the quad-core Phenoms will fair. :sol: That's a platform that might actually be worth investigating and purchasing should the regular Phenoms actually perform quite well.

I didnt think beta was optimized. Crysis will be optimized so framerates will be higher ect, and if youre getting those framerates when its not even optimized yet..

Hmmm, i think Crysis might disapoint, that level on teh aircraft carrier looked like shiat, and the other level train depot/warehouse center looked like Half Life 2. IMO
