I have an MSI 5900XT, and was wanting to run a graphics test on it. I've never benchmarked or tweaked a video card before, and wanted to ask for help from people on this forum. Is there a test that I can open up within the card's software, or will I need to download it externally? I've never messed with AA, AF, or overclocking either. I'd like to get the most out of this card as I can before switching to the 7800 AGP card that's about to come out! ;) Any advice or links to advice is much appreciated!

I downloaded 3DMark2001, and got a "3D Marks" score of 12712. How, on average, does this compare with the 6 and 7 series cards? Is there a test that was done through TH that has all of these cards within it?

My 9600XT used to get 13,000. Now my 6800GT gets 20,000. But what you really need to do is download 3dmark03, 05, 06 and run them all. 3Dmark01 is no good for cards like this. Get back to us when you run them all.

If your planning to switch to a 7800 GS for about $350-$400, for the same price you can get an sli mobo and a 6800 gt 256 mb graphics card.

That sounds good, but would I have to adjust PSU's, CPU's, Memory, etc??

I'm also assuming that the 6800 GS would run considerably better than my current card?
