[SOLVED] Bending pins everytime i install Cpu

The bent pins are very mild and only a few of them get bent but i have spent an hour or so realigning then and they are definitely straight as can be.

I spend about 5 tedious minutes gently making sure to set the CPU in perfectly.
And my arrows are aligned. When bring down the latch onto the cpu lightly i already begin to hear crunching-like noises of the pins. I dont quite understand how i am to install the cpu when the latch causes it to slide when i use it.

I thought it was bad hardware on my latch so i bought a new MoBo entirely and im running into the same problem so i assume its user error.

Solution
Tabs in the socket are for LGA (Intel) CPUs.

For AMD CPUs, you can look at pins in the corners. Three corners have three pins in a diagonal, the third (arrow corner) is missing the middle pin and the diagonal, which makes the pin-less area square.
For LGA sockets, the tabs on the sides should keep the CPU in place as the plate puts pressure on. Some crinkling noise is normal as the LGA pins get compressed and slide over the pads. The pins shouldn't bend unless they are catching scratches on LGA pads that send them sideways.

If you have an AMD CPU and are bending pins on those, my only guess is you aren't putting the CPU in all the way.

First of all on this second MoBo i dont jave a triangle to match with the ryzen cpu how would i figure put the way it goes.?

Second, the tabs on the latch u mentioned,
I thought they were messing things up for me haha but i will try to fully commit this time and see what happens. Ill report back

Yeah im realizing that pins on the chip literally just arent clearing the plastic notches no matter which way i try

Mobo is intel
Cpu is AMD....

Just learned that this isnt possible?
Don't expect the AMD CPU to function now. There is a chance the CPU is broken since you were mashing down the pins and "fixing" them more than once trying to install it in the wrong socket type. You unfortunately have very likely voided the warranty.

Unless the solder cup broke off the bottom of the chip or the pin broke then straightening them shouldn't cause a problem. At this point it's not like hes got anything to lose...might as well try it.
