benifits of os on ssd?

Just a quick question, what are the benifits of having ones OS installed on an ssd other than a faster boot time?

Noise
Heat
Reliability

If it only improves your boot time, boy, that would be some expensive upgrade.

SSD's most important quality is, it IMPROVES RESPONSE, call it snappy, call it smoothness, call it experience whatever. Is the difference between a used car, noise, vibration, rattles, blah-blah vs a new car, all is tight and smooth.
