Without going into senseless details I purchased a previous BENQ Monitor which had 10ms response, and during this period I didn't know much about these specs as I have had used my LG HDTV for PC and console gaming.
Needless to say it had horrible ghosting, and so I replaced it with a 1ms TN BENQ (RL2455HM) and despite being a TN panel the colours are quite vivid, which surprised me. Been loving this monitor until about a month ago when I noticed banding issues and colour distortion.
PC games, PS4 games, doesn't matter which the colour banding is intense and no amount of settings seems to eliminate it. I'm not sure if It's always been there? Is the monitor dying? I've heard BENQ lifespans rarely see over a year.
Any possible way to fix this? Certain games It's just unbearable, and in most cases stops me from playing entirely. Mostly noticeable with any light source in games, and especially skyboxes. Shadow of Mordor is a perfect example as everything seems to have banding, and the skybox looks washed out and smudged, with dozens of rings circling around every light source.
