BenQ 1ms TN -or- Asus 5ms IPS????

Hi ive got a problem

ive been looking at monitors. i was going to get a TN panel but then i started reading that the colour reproduction wasnt that good, so i started looking at the ips panels because i heard the colour is reallly good on them. My only gripe with them is the high response times. the Asus vn248h is the ips i'm looking at and its got a 5ms response time. Ill be using it with my PC and my PS4 so im worried about the motion blur. What should i get?

I'd get the Asus IPS monitor for gaming, unless you're going to be a super hardcore gamer, you won't notice a difference. IPS will give you better picture quality, I'd rather have a monitor that looks better than a response time that I won't even notice.

I just bought the asus vs239hv and I can tell you its quick enough for me.
Here's the bonus;
Films look like you are at the cinema.Put a dvd in and its gobsmacking quality!
The picture looks the same from any sensible angle.
You dont get that colour changing effect when you move your head about.There is no light bleed,dead pixels or other manufacturing faults on mine or any of the reviews on amazon u.k.;I think Asus have nailed it and I couldnt go back to TN panels after 10 years of gaming. Hope that helps .

yeah i just looked at the monitor you have. its basically the same as the vn248h, just a slight size difference. i think ill get the ips
