Question Benq ex270qm and ps5 resolution

Hi All!

I have got my new monitor with Hdmi 2.1 ports(Benq Ex270qm). It is an 1440p monitor.
When i connect it to Ps5 and set screen resolution to automatic it shows in info 4k resolution. But monitor osd pop up with info that optimal resolution is 2560x1440p.

So my question is that should i set the res to auto(which sets it to 4k) or to the monitor native resolution (2560x1440p).

does the PS5 offer 1440p output?
just figured they were stuck @ either 1080 or 2160.

if available, try both and see if there is any noticeable difference in picture quality.
if not, use the native resolution.

Yes the ps5 offer the 1440p output. My concern is because the auto set it to 4k. Thanks.

the PS consoles cannot auto-detect the display connected so they default to either 1080 or 2160p.

i would guess 'auto' just goes for the best option visually, which would be 4K.

2K may allow a higher fps if the system isn't totally locked.
4K may look a bit better visually.
just experiment and see.
