So I just got a new PS4 and was setting it up. I noticed that when I put it on the 1080i Resolution the screen would shake. I have found that it is an issue with my monitor (BenQ xl2430T) because I tried with a TV and with many different HDMI cables. It is fine on the 1080p setting but I need the 1080i setting for recording purposes. (My Elgato capture card wont record 60fps at 1080p but will at 1080i) If I record the screen with my capture card, it looks normal so it is a monitor issue. Also with my capture card not connected it still does the same thing.
I have the new model ps4 or in other words the ps4 slim.
Cheers

That is because your monitor is not a television, and is therefore not interlaced. Because you are trying to send an interlaced image to a device that doesn't support interlacing - you're having problems.

You need an El Gato HD60 to capture 1080p at 60FPS.

I know that capture card would work but I don't have money for one. The 720p option works at 60fps with no shaking. Is this a different thing completely?

Is there any way this can work? Or do I just need to cram my TV onto my desk?
