My BenQ RL2755 monitor (used for last 3 years) was fine just last night but today I noticed a horizontal line going through the middle of my screen. Then if I looked closer (face to screen) you could see the bottom half of my monitor was looking abnormal and showing horizontal lines all the way down. Images/video still display through that bottom half area but there was obviously something wrong. I have linked a few screenies.

Anyone have an idea of the cause of this and is there any fix to it? O and I have also tried a DVI cable (instead of HDMI) and same result. Also I tested an old monitor and it was totally fine so it is definitely something wrong with this BenQ monitor. Thanks for any assistance.

I have a xl2720 Benq and it started doing pretty much the EXACT same thing at about the same time yours did.
Here is a pic of mine: https://photos.app.goo.gl/uHhXwxLHA9hepHxb8

Makes me think it might not actually be hardware...I have two SLIed Nvidia GTX970's running three of these monitors. The center one is the only one that is doing it so far.

Yea it seems you are pretty much having the same issue as me, except it covers even more of your screen. So far I have not had any luck finding any answers/solutions from googling. I take it so far you have not had any luck with that either?

I had a Dell P2415Q that had faint horizontal lines on the center of the screen.
Got it replaced with another one of the same brand and model, that had the same issue, but to a lesser degree.

In the end, my solution was: sending the monitor back and getting my money back.

Nothing yet...finding your post gave me hope it might have been some kinda driver update....
I'm going to try swapping the monitors around to see if the problem follows the monitor or the video card output.
I'm a budding electronics enthusiast and have been digging around w/o luck trying to find a schematic for my model....not that I think I have the skills yet to fix it but I don't have much to lose in trying. My monitors are also about three years old....sure seems like a lot of coincidences. Same brand, same time and same problem.
If I have any progress I'll post back on this thread.

Mine are WAY out of any warranty so sending it back isn't an option. It's either fix this issue or replace the monitor.

Just an update on this issue...I swapped my monitors around and reseated all of the plugs. The problem is still there by greatly reduced. It's good enough to live with for the time being.
Still seems like a hardware issue as the problem stayed with the same monitor no matter how I had it swapped around.
