Benq XL2420TE help

I just purchased the XL2420Te from Benq and the side panel interface doesn't seem to be working and I can't turn it on. The light over the power button lights up when my fingers are near it but when I try to press it to turn it on nothing happens. The usb hub works fine. Just cannot seem to get the monitor to switch on.

It seems you got a bad unit. Return it for a good one?
