Benq XL2420Z not staying at 144hz

I recently got a Benq XL2420Z but whenever I start my pc it resets the Hz and I was wondering where I'm going wrong.

Hello... you need to set your Video card output/driver for 144hz... your Monitor is just a Passive device and reports back what your Video card is doing.
