I am in the market for a new monitor since one of my Asus 60hz 1080p monitors has recently died on me and I do not feel like RMAing it and paying for shipping. Instead, I would rather buy a new monitor.

I am looking for a monitor that is going to be around $300 or so and would be the best for gaming. At first, I was looking at 1440P monitors, but then realized that all of the screen sizes are 27 inches, which I feel is a bit too large for me and would rather prefer a 24 inch, so I stuck with 1080p monitors. I am also looking for the monitor to be a 144hz.

I looked up these monitors below

BenQ XL2420Z
BenQ XL2411Z
Asus VG248QE

Which do you think would suite me best? Is there any other monitors in this category that would fit better for me? Tell meh what you think!

EDIT - My computer is able to push above 100fps on most games, not every game though. I have an i5-3570k 4.2GHz OC and a GTX 970.

Another option would be to send the broken monitor back to Asus, hopefully get it fixed, and wait until monitors come down in prices or wait for a better one. I've heard things about the Asus support saying that they send back broken devices and say they cannot fix them do to physical damage.
