Why is it doing that? even when i turn the switch on the monitor off the glow is still there and monitor looks like its still on its hard to see in picture but its clearly visible in real life in the dark.Only when i disconnect the power plug the light fades out (obviously) Also when actually using in windows and you can stil see it if you look hard enough.

I still have the warranty should i send it to them ?

Yea man, I bought my monitor in 2015 too and i had like 10 days left until my warranty ran out. I contacted Scan.co.uk (thats where i bought the monitor from) and they refused to give me a replacement because in they opinion "its not a fault because its a common prolbem". So then i contacted benq support directly told them that its still a fault and should be covered by warranty. After that benq send me a replacement which is working without any issues.

I'm sorry to hear that this is happening to you as well. This only started happening to my monitor since Febuary, and I have had the monitor since summer 2015. I have been unplugging the monitor every day after I have used it, but it is getting very annoying. I believe the monitor may have a capacitor that is not functioning well anymore. I might take off the back panel and inspect the guts of my xl2430t to see which capacitor is not working well anymore. Sorry there is no solution yet, but I hope it gets fixed for you, or you give it back since you say you still have a warranty.
can't wait for a response!
