[SOLVED] Benq xl2730z freesync

So Nvidia just released it's update for gsync capability and I'm having a hard time setting it up. I can't seem to find out how to turn freesync on my benq xl2730z. There is no option in the monitors osd and in Nvidia control panel there is no monitor technology tab. I currently am running a GTX 1080ti 11Gb.

I learned today that the Freesync option only shows up when using DisplayPort cables. Not even a Display Port to HDMI 2.0 adapter will cut it.
