I have looked all over this forum for a solution and would call BenQ but they're closed.

I can't seem to get audio to come out of the monitors build in Headphone jack. I can get the mic to work, the sound does not.

Connected using a Displayport cable (The one included with the monitor, Yes it does carry sound) I have also tried using the 3.5mm Headphone jack to the motherboard. Still nothing.

As far as Audio Drivers I am using Realtek High Definition Audio and Windows 10. Nothing is on mute, I have checked all Windows Settings and BenQ's Display Pilot to make sure all audio is able to pass through. I have tried both the Mobo's inputs, and my cases front panel inputs.

Anyone have any idea?

This problem still exists w/ the XL2730Z, the headphone jack doesn't work @144hz but does @120hz. It doesn't look like this a widely reported problem, maybe not many people use the jack but definitely an annoying issue for me.

I have the same issue, no sound from the display port but get sound from my ps4 on the hdmi port.
Played around with some settings but nothing yet.

I called BenQ today, waited 45 minutes to talk to someone. Who knew literally nothing about the monitor. Said that he was "99.9% sure" that the monitor has built in speakers in it. That sound doesn't carry on the DisplayPort 1.3 cables. He wanted to RMA it, because he had no idea what he was talking about. They're redirecting me to "Level 2" support that will contact me in 2-3 business days. Stay posted.

The Monitor is in playback, I have it set as default though nothing happens. I have made sure that nothing is muted in those settings, and have check the actual monitor settings to make sure the sound is not muted. Thanks for the reply though

The monitor have a Headphone jack but no speakers and sound is available when running hdmi through it.

Q. Does DisplayPort also support audio?
A. Yes, DisplayPort supports multi-channel audio and many advanced audio features. DisplayPort to HDMI adapters also include the ability to support HDMI audio.

Hey guys, I actually solved the problem / found an answer to the problem. I contacted BenQ support and they were completely useless. I ordered another monitor to test to make sure it's not the port, which it wasn't. The problem is actually with 144hz, if you change the refresh rate to anything besides 144hz the port works! Currently using 120hz and it works perfectly. Waiting for an answer from BenQ on there reasons why
