So here is my situation. I recently got a new pc case and everything was working perfectly fine. I still had the original cpu cooler so after a little bit of testing out the case and making sure everything was working I ordered a new cpu cooler. While installing it i bent around 5 Cpu pins being a complete idiot, luckily (or so I thought) I unbent all of them and it sits perfectly in the motherboard. Little did I know, when I finally got to boot it up Only one of my ram sticks was working. Turns out it wasn't the stick either, it was the slot. I tried everything everyone has said and iv'e come to the conclusion the the cpu is just messed up =( Ive tried reseatting once so far and It still didn't use the other 4gb. It recognizes that it is there, but windows wont put it too use.. (Installed ram-8GB, Usable ram- 4GB. I don't have alot of money, but trying to game with 4gb's is nearly impossible. I am unsure if I should just buy a single 16GB ram stick or try something else to fix it =/

Solution
I decided Im just gonna order another cheapo motherboard for now, but with 4 RAM slots hoping that my CPU didn't lost all of them. I would rather drop 50 bucks right now and 200 later.
