So, my I7 6700k supposedly broke when my motherboard shorted out somehow. I say this since every system I tried it on for months proceeded to just sit there and boot loop forever. Then I was trying it at one of my friend's houses for giggles (he was trying to update his motherboard bios to support kaby-lake). FIrst we put in my i7, boot loop. We reseat it and then bam it boot loops for roughly 2 minutes then, like magic, we get a windows logo. I was in shock. A few minutes pass, we download the bios and install it. Nice! Then he realizes he forgot to plug in the heatsink this entire time (roughly 10 minutes have past by now) so he plugs it in directly. Alright well, nothing we were doing was that rough, and it all seems to eb working. We take out my 6700k to place in his i5. My cpu's 2 right corners are just bent. And its not even like a small bend. No, this is completely noticeable bends. So, I decide to buy a cheap H110 motherboard to do some bench marking with my i7. I have been running Prime 95 for a while and it hasnt come up with any issues, temps are maxing out at roughly 70 C at 4Ghz. I really just want to sell this 6700k with its ram since I downgraded to a cheap i5 3550 etc, but my question is. Is there any harm with using it like this in the long run? Should I try bending it back at all?
