so guys i have just bent my cpus corner by misplacing my cpu on the mother board (lga 1151) the result was me braking my mother board because it has alot of broken pins but my worry isnt that my worry is the cpu. Do you guys know anyway to make my cpu straight again i dont know if its fried or not. Its not bent alot only a little. Thank you

Well, good luck. I don't think I was of much help since all we can do is hope your skylake isn't toast. I kmow the feeling of dread when it comes to expensive parts. Only thing else I can add is watch a lot of tutorial videos on YouTube about building. I've been building and repairing systems since around 2001 and I still watch them just to always have a fresh look. Again, good luck.
Ouch. I've heard of some heatsinks actually bending some Intel CPUs when installed, they stiill worked but this s a little different! I would not try to bend it back. Can you use tweezers to bend back the motherboard pins to where they belong and install the CPU correctly? Installing if may bend it back "naturally".

Yh i will post the pic now and i dont need to worry about mother board as i know the cpu socked is dead because theres like 3-4 pins out and 5 pins that are bent i can buy a new mother board not a problem but the cpu is what am worried about

I initially was hoping that you could attempt to bend back the pins to test the Skylake. I admit, from the angle of the photo, it looks OK to me. Reason I believe this is, in the past, I've been amazed by the toughness of Intel's CPUs. That being said, there is really only one way to know for sure.

Some of the pins are broken completely off?

Yh well I think it is because the some of the socket pins came out as me attempting to fix them, when 4 or more pins come off that means it's broken right?, because that's what I heard

I'm hoping it's the motherboard because when I put the cpu in after the attempt of me fixing and braking some pins the pc didn't signal it came on and then off and then started after this sign is when one of the components broken either cpu or mother board socket

It's what I'm hoping just don't want the cpu to be fried my mother board was second hand because I wanted to get skylake early so I spent all my money on the cpu and thought might as well as buy the mobo second hand at the start when it came it had couple bent pins didn't think it was all that bad so I put in the cpu and it was working fine
