Best 1080p monitor for gaming & movies - r9 280x

Hello everyone I want to buy a new monitor because my old Samsung Syncmaster just can't do it anymore.

I want to have a good 1080p monitor to match with my R9 280x Matrix platinum.I will use it mostly for gaming(Probably a 60hz monitor) but also for movies and reading.

I live in Greece so prices are a bit higher than US stores.I want to spend max 180 euros.

I was looking on Asus VX239H.Any suggestions?

Just to let you know if you didn't already, that is an IPS monitor. You can see reviews for it here:

If you are a hardcore gamer you may prefer TN panels due to their fast response times, can even be 1millisecond, compared to the 5ms of that IPS. But the colour quality and viewing angles isn't as great. But most people can not really tell the difference between 1ms~5ms, especially if you don't play FPS games too often.

But I am not the person to ask as I am also looking for a monitor to get in a few months lol. I found the Asus VS239H which is also a 23" IPS. You may find that it is more affordable for you, and I would like to hear from others what they think of this monitor.

Well I just want to play games normally I'm not a hardcore gamer or anything like that.Plus I don't know the difference between ips lcd etc I haven't looked it atm.
Any suggestions from LG or any other brand?
