Best 1151 motherboard for gaming ?

Gonna run 1080 in sli , 6700k skylake and 32gb trident z gskill.

Which is the best motherboard to get ? Was going to get the gigabyte gaming 7,

Any thoughts about the ASUS Maximus VIII Extreme ?

Doesn't really matter all that much, and having fewer features is generally better since there's less background hogging by those resources (i.e. extra network cards, non-chipset USB/sata, fancy USB lighting units, etc). I would personally go with Gigabyte, their boards tend to be fairly stable and don't force random "ai tweak" stuff to do normal things. Maximus is a good board though, really all up to you.

The Gaming 7 is only worth it when you make use of the creative sound chip, thus use an analogue sound system.
If not,the gaming 5 provides the same build but with the cheaper Realtek chip, which doesn't matter anyway if you use an USB headset
