Best 1155 Budget CPU for the EVGA 1050

I have a i5 3450 with 4gb of RAM, soon to be 8gb. A EVGA SC GTX 1050 but i try GTA and do the benchmarks on the lowest settings and i still get crappy FPS. I have read that the cpu isnt a good one to have for the graphics card. What would be the best 1155 cpu that wouldnt cost me more than $150

The CPU isn't the problem. It is your gfx card. The GTX 1050 is a low/mid-range card. The i5-3450 can support a faster card than the 1050.

i think both are capable of handling that game with 60+FPS, report back after u upgrade your ram.

i was getting 23 on lowest settings on gta. i should be getting a RAM upgrade of going from 4gb to 8gb and my friends and i have been troubleshooting it and they say it might be the RAM as well. but i'll reply sometime soon about the answer.

More system RAM could help to the extent that if the gfx card needs more workspace (vram), it can use some of the system RAM. And your CPU won't have to off-load some of its data to virtual memory, slowing up the system even more.

It was the RAM. My games are running smooth as i was expecting them to.
