I have everything purchased except the video now I have ~ 1200 set aside and I am very torn on which way to go, the 7970s are fast but every user review I read has a good number of returns, complaints about noise or artifacts the 680s are more money but seem to be a better built card even if they do loose a few benchmarks the titan was a flop IMHO the 7990 (see 7970 issues X2) so I come here to get input I have a triple 1080 monitors on an arm
I never noticed MS on any of my SLI set ups starting with my 8800 Ultra my 2gtx 295 and my dual gtx 480's maybe I just don't have the eyesight for it.

I play D3 and Eq2 (maybe Eq3 when it comes out) I mostly do video conversion and trans-coding work GPU accelerated

The MB I ended up getting was a Asus MVE with a I7-3770K CPU stuffed with 32gb of ddr3 and a 256Meg 840 Pro SSD with dual 4TB Sata 3 Drives for storage the CPU is Water cooled my master plan is to WC the video as well but a a later date

1 GTX titan or 1 7990 or 2 7970 or 3 7950 or 2 gtx 680's or 3 gtx 670 or 1 gtx 690

I am leaning towards one 690 because I can find it with the WC block attached from EVGA
I am seeing input on the best graphics system that will give me the smallest amount of issues I had huge Studdering issues with my first ATI Xfire I am thinking they were 3970's but its been a long time I ended up taking one card out play games.

Please if you could take time to even write a short reason why XXX is better then YYY I deal with facts and figures a simply YYY is better doesn't carry any impact with out a why?

If you want more than 1 card, rule out AMD for now. CF = driver issues that impact "smoothness" of play.

Titan is great if you value a 1 card solution, got money to burn, and size matters.

From there, I would say your best picks would be a gtx 690 or 670s in sli. A 690 will cost more but it is a cleaner option. The 680s are overpriced when 670s can do about the same.

I'd say that you may also want to wait till the new titans and 700s cards come out. They are due soon.

What is your monitor situation? To be contemplating those configurations, I have to guess it is a large resolution, in which case, I'd advice the 4GB 670/680 as BigMack70 mentioned. If it is something more average, then the 690 might be ok, but still pretty powerful for a 1080p screen, unless going for 3D Vision or 120hz.
