Best 1366 cpu for overclocking

I’m looking for the best cpu to do overclocking for the 1366 chipset. I know it’s really old now but it’s what I’m working with currently.
My setup:
Evga x58 mobo
I7 920 oc to 3.9ghz
3x4gb 1600 triple channel ddr3
Cooler master aio cpu liquid cooler
275gb ssd
Gtx 1050 ti ssc
Evga 80+ White 500watt psu
Thermaltake spedo case
Lots of airflow

The Xeon X56xx series. I'm running a x5675 and i have an 1.2 GHz overclock on it. The x5680 or x5690 are the higher end options. The x5690 might not be worth it cause those are still expensive.

The other options are x5660 and the x5650.

Ok thanks I will look into these. I was thinking the Xeon it seems like they do better with overclocking from what I have read.

i have a Asus rampage 3 extreme board and have a 950, 975, 980x, x5670, and x5690. My 950 could do 4.9ghz with 4.7ghz 24/7, the 980x will do 4.5Ghz without issues and is what i have in my computer now. the X5690 could only do 4.2Ghz and gave me ram issues with not being set the ram over 1333mhz with an OC over 1500Mhz.

If your looking between the x5690 and the 980x i would go with the 980x. I had no issues with ram speeds on the 980x and it overclocked faster then the X5690.

Would you say the 950 would be better if I wanted to game/stream and the same time? The higher end cpus are still around 200-300, I’m hoping to not spend over 100 just because I’ll be doing the mobo cpu switch to a newer platform hopefully by the end of the year

You could look at the W3670, goes for about $55-60 on ebay and would give you a 6 core 12 thread cpu, from what i heard they OC pretty well.

If your trying to game and stream then the 6 core might help you out a little more then a slightly faster 4 core.
