Best 1440p G-Sync monitor for gaming?

I've been looking at the Asus PG279Q, as it seems to have everything I'm looking for.
My only problem with it is the 4ms response time and reports of IPS glow and backlight bleeding.
However, I heard that those problems are mostly fixed now.
Is that a good monitor to get, or is there better ones out there?
(Note: I don't like ultrawide or curved monitors, if you suggest a different one)

Do you really need ips? If you do, acer xb270hu will save you some money (if you don't mind the glossy). If you want aesthetics, acer xb271hu is the way to go. If you don't need ips, acer xb270hu (tn variant) and dell s2716dg are the best. Asus 1440p g-sync monitors are good, but they've failed in competition thanks to the price imo.

The way the panel looks isn't as important to me. I'd prefer IPS cause of the colors, but if I'd specifically benefit from a TN, i'd get that instead.

a 4ms response time will not produce any ghosting or smearing, correct?
(That's the only thing that I'm worried about on the IPS panels)

No. I have the Acer XB270HU myself, and the screen is perfect.
I'd recommend it to anyone

The response time is about 3.8 ms, so it is unnoticable. It feels like an immediate response. I play CSGO on this monitor, and it is really good since it is 1440p (more pixels) and 144hz (smoother gameplay), also the quick response time is good for AWP shots ;)

Definitely go with the Acer XB270HU

Yeah, but what is that monitor compared to the PG279Q (the other top end monitor by asus)? They seem near identical aside from how the panel looks itself.
I feel like the tiny bezel on the acer model would bother me for some reason. The stand also seems somewhat unprofessional. But that's my opinion.

Looks can be deceiving my friend. The Acer XB270HU is the best of the three in my opinion, because overclocking a monitor is pointless for the extra 21hz :/
The Asus PG279Q is almost identical to the Acer XB271HU (the XB270HU's predecessor)
